Morning Wakes Her (The red centaur)

Sooo... I guess when I don't know what to draw- I draw girls. More specific, magical girls who are only half human in some way or another. Despite the fact that I have no prior practice in drawing horses ;-;

The original intent of this picture was to show a centaurette opening her "curtain" to a new day. But I suppose it could also be a number of situations.
She could be hiding from a human she's curious about. Or maybe she is able to turn fully human at night, and she was having a date with a handsome gent who doesn't know of her other form. And she had to run away in time for daybreak. Now she watches, amused, as he searches for her. Maybe she's looking out onto a magical event taking place outside of her resting place?

I'unno, iss up to you! *somewhat delirious from staring at a screen all day*

I decided to finish this one as well, on a whim. Drew and colored the centaurette in SAI. Did BG and effects in PS.

Really tried to focus on painting an acceptable background. Hopefully this one isn't too bad >.<
